Food for Thought Podcast starts with the premise that being vegan is a means to an end — not an end in itself. Food for Thought addresses all aspects of eating and living compassionately and healthfully, including living zero waste! Each episode addresses commonly asked questions about being vegan, including those regarding animal protection, food, cooking, eating, and nutrition — and debunks the myths surrounding these issues.

WARNING: This podcast episode contains only good news! Despite the tragedies of 2023, there were also numerous reasons to celebrate. And I’m here to share some with you, especially as they relate to animals and nature. So, stop doom-scrolling and start joy-browsing as we explore some good-news stories from this past year.

The term "doomscrolling" was coined in 2020 to describe the habit of compulsively consuming distressing news. Not surprisingly, research spanning several decades has consistently cautioned against the potential detrimental effects of excessive exposure to negative news.

To help prevent the kind of burnout that comes from focusing only on what's bad in this world, I'm hosting a 3-hour-long online workshop called Preventing Compassion Fatigue: Avoiding Burnout, Cultivating Resilience, and Practicing Self-Care ...all while being an effective advocate for animals. REGISTER AT
